The focal point of the painting"Full English" is a young man who is maintaining inviting eye contact with the viewer establishing an intimate connection, as he is eating Jamaica's national dish - ackee& saltfish accompanied with traditional complements such as plantain, dumplings, green banana, and yam, plated on the table in the foreground. Tothe sides of the plate is a cappuccino with a chocolate-dusted palm tree in a plain porcelain white cup and saucer and traditional British cafe condiment bottles, salt, and pepper. I intended to marry my dual heritage.
